Help Us Honor Cindy Sackett

In this time of grief, we come together to honor the memory of Cindy Sackett, who unexpectedly passed away after surgery on July 12th. She was supposed to make a full recovery after this surgery but instead God had other plans. We are beyond devastated and our world is shattered. As a devoted nurse, loving wife, and nurturing mother and grandmother, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and dedication.
As many of you know, Cindy dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse for over 40 years. Her unwavering commitment to the well-being of her patients touched the lives of countless individuals, and her empathy and selflessness knew no bounds -- she was a true inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Besides her remarkable career, she was happily married for 42 years to her husband Kent. Together, they built a life filled with love and joy. Their relationship was an inspiration and testament that proves that love always endures even in the face of life's greatest challenges.
Cindy leaves behind two adoring daughters, who were the center of her world. She was their biggest cheerleader, their confidante, their best friend, and the rock they could always lean on. She guided them through life's ups and downs, instilled values of resilience, kindness, and perseverance that will continue to shape their lives.
Along with her two daughters, she also leaves behind her (as she would say) “yummy” grandson and the prized title of Nana. And though she is no longer physically present, her spirit will forever guide him and embrace him with love, warmth, and cherished moments.
As if coping with this sudden and devastating loss wasn’t enough, they also face the burden of the substantial funeral and burial costs, which amount to $30,000 and are due July 26th, three days prior to the service.
So, with much reluctance, and a lot of pride swallowing, we humbly reach out to all of you for your support during this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in alleviating the financial strain on our family, honor her immense contributions to the healthcare community, and ensure that Cindy receives the farewell and burial she deserves and wanted.
Thank you for taking the time to read Cindy's story and consider this request. Your kindness and support mean so much to us, and we are forever grateful for your presence in our lives.
