Help Us Honor Eric Dupree's Memory
I cant believe im making a GoFundMe to help bury my eldest brother, Eric Dupree, who has been a great brother, friend, entrepenuer, hard worker, loving son, and more. As the baby in the family, I always looked up to Eric; he was always my role model growing up to get good grades in school and to aspire to be athletic, and when I got older, to get a job at Chick-fil-A, just like Eric. If you knew him, you'd notice how funny Eric was. He could tell you any story and make it hilarious. He was also very practical, easy to love, and hard working. I was always proud of Eric. When times got hard in his life, family was always in his corner.
My Mother Didn't know She Would Be Burying Her Child
After his vehicle broke down, my mom would pick him up daily to take him to the bus stop so he could goto work for and with Larry Young and Larry's Podcast on YouTube. Eric made sure he went to work everyday, no matter how hard his life became. He always found a way. When my mom arrived to Eric's home, he didnt answer the door nor phone. After gaining entry after 30 minutes of no answer, my mom found Eric unresponsive the morning of December 19th 2024. He had no pulse, skin already cold to touch. He passed away early that morning with no one by his side except his dog Karma. The autopsy results come back tomorrow so we will have a better understanding of why my brother was taken away from us .
This left my family in shambles. Eric was only 42 years old and had so many plans to start a podcast Jan 6th 2025 and to get back on his feet. He definitely loved his dog Karma and the Baltimore Ravens, going to work, and home, and most of all, he stayed out of the way and led with peace, respect, and lots of laughter. Now that he is gone, my mother, remaining siblings, aunts, uncles, and friends are in need to help properly giving Eric a funeral and burial.
Eric did not have insurance, nest egg, nothing. So as you can imagine, everyone is stressed, especially since Eric was taken from us 6 days before Christmas. For my family, Christmas is canceled this year.
