Help Us Honor Hakeem Washington and Support His Family

On December 19, 2024 our beloved Hakeem Washington's life was tragically cut short at the age of 31 due to senseless gun violence. Hakeem was a vibrant, loving, and devoted father, son, brother, and friend. He leaves behind a grieving family and, most heartbreakingly, his four young children: Alijah, A'Myirkal, Za'Nari, Zaire , ages 10, 9, 6, and 2, who now face a future without their father’s love, guidance, and care.

Hakeem was a hardworking and caring man who did everything in his power to provide for his family. He was determined to create a better life for his children, always putting their needs first and dreaming of a brighter future for them. Those who knew him remember his infectious smile, his kind heart, and his unwavering dedication to the people he loved.

This devastating loss has left our family not only heartbroken but also struggling to cover the unexpected funeral expenses and provide for the immediate needs of Hakeem’s children. We are asking for your support to help us honor Hakeem’s memory with a proper farewell and ensure his children have the stability and care they desperately need during this difficult time.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to cover the costs of Hakeem’s funeral and burial. Any remaining funds will go directly toward supporting his children, including their education, basic needs, and counseling services to help them cope with the trauma of losing their father so young.
