Help Us Honor James Shelton’s Life with Your Kindness

Hello, my name is Vanessa Hornsby. I am raising funds for my brother James R. Shelton. He is currently in San Diego, California, on life support. He’s been on life support for over 30 days with no neurological response. My brother had a massive heart attack on August 14, 2024. He coded and CPR was given; his heart started back, and he was immediately put on life support. But afterwards, with the confirmation of test results, doctors have diagnosed him with anoxic brain damage, which is irreversible.

So with a saddened heart, we are asking for your help. Because of the location of my brother and the hard decision that we are having to make in a very short period of time, this is very hard for our mother, me, sister, and family. To anyone that knew my brother, he was a very lively, loving, and funny person… often the life of the party. So to imagine him living in his current state, suffering, is not what we want for him, nor would he want for himself. We have decided to let him rest in God’s hands because He makes no mistakes.

We are asking for your help with a heavy heart . We need to be able to go to California from Georgia and be with him through his transition to be with the Lord. Anything you can donate would be a blessing, greatly appreciated, and an honor to his life.
