Help Us Honor Joey Mora's Selfless Legacy
Donation protected
Hello, we are the Mora’s: Lorrie, Tony, Ernie, and family. On October 30, 2024, we were blindsided by the sudden loss of our middle brother Joseph Andrew Mora born June 16, 1960. Those of you that knew Joey, knew he always put others before himself. He was a truly selfless man with a heart of gold. Every year he would go out of his way to ensure others had food to share with their families and would buy hams and turkeys for some of his family and friends for Thanksgiving. He never expected anything in return.
A native of La Verne where he played little league baseball, Joey was a cub scout and a boxer. He graduated from Bonita High School (GO BEARCATS), played football, and wrestled! He had recently relocated to Hacienda Heights in August and was excited for a fresh start.
Not only did Joey love his cats, but he also enjoyed fishing in the local lakes and mountains. He especially loved visiting June Lake Loop. Many great memories were created there. Joey also enjoyed Mexican food, drinking a nice cold beer, and being around friends and family. He was a Raiders and Dodgers fan.
People closest to Joey knew he did not have much and unfortunately was not prepared for a burial/funeral. Currently, we as a family are respectfully requesting assistance to help with expenses for his funeral. Joey is the epitome of selflessness, if he has ever helped you and you would like to pay him back, any amount of donation would graciously be accepted on his behalf. Please share this as you feel appropriate. We would love to send Joey back home the proper way.
Thank you all in advance.
LOVE,
The Mora’s
