Help Us Honor Jorge's Memory with a Proper Burial

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Aleydis Vallecillo. My family and I are starting this fundraiser in hopes of burying my 23-year-old brother, Jorge, who recently had his life tragically taken from him by a drunk driver while he was crossing the street on January 19, 2025, while he was working as a security guard at a big tech company. We are trying to raise enough money to help lay him to rest and have a proper funeral for him.

Jorge was a person full of life, full of dreams and goals to accomplish. He was an outgoing and charismatic person. He had huge plans for his future and was starting his first semester of college this week. He had an infectious smile that would light up the room every time you saw him. He had a big heart and a strong passion for justice. He was an incredible brother to us, his five siblings. For his family and friends, we knew him as one of the most giving and compassionate people to be a part of our lives.

He had a soft spot for animals, particularly the cats in his neighborhood. Jorge adopted three strays of his own and a dog, and would spend so much of his free time taking stray cats to the vet and getting them fixed. He worked closely with many members of the local community in these efforts. He would sometimes spend his whole paycheck on the stray animals, whether it be on food, medical attention, or houses. And although the cats weren't technically his, he would still treat them as if they were his own.

Jorge was a considerate and kind brother. He would help us financially, get us food, take us places, and overall support us when we needed help or were feeling down. I remember Jorge used to play hide and seek and other children's games with us even though he was around 18 at that time and we were just little kids. He was carefree and lived for himself and didn't care what people thought of him.
Our older brother passed away in 2018 and we had to cremate him due to our financial situation, and we want to hopefully this time be able to give our brother a proper burial.

We hope you find it in your heart to help us out in these difficult times.
Thank you and God bless your hearts.

And the second is like unto it, 'Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.'

Matthew 22:39
