Help Us Honor Joseph Maynard’s Wishes, Offset Medical Bills

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Joseph Maynard, known to many as Uncle Joe. He passed away peacefully in the Philippines on September 27, 2024, fulfilling his final wish to spend his remaining time in the country he loved so dearly.

While his heart was full of love for his family, the journey hasn’t been easy. Uncle Joe was hospitalized multiple times during his final months, and unfortunately, his medical expenses were not covered by his U.S. medical benefits while in the Philippines. The mounting hospital bills have placed a significant financial burden on his family.

Although the family has not asked for help, I am organizing this campaign as a family friend, being sensitive to their needs during this difficult time. Rest assured, all proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to his widow, Tita Ditdit Maynard, to help offset the high hospital bills. I will also ensure that every donor is informed and updated on how these funds are used to support the family. Additionally, every step of this campaign will be coordinated closely with Uncle Joe's stepson, Edward Lago.
