Help Us Honor Miriah's Mom's Memory
Donation protected
My name is Miriah and I am currently raising funds for my mom’s funeral and burial service. I am an only child, and the policy my mom did have will not pay out due to it being a newer policy. We are asking all to help. This was short notice and unprepared.
Shelly Johnson - Vaughn, age 57, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
A shining light in the lives of all who knew her, Shelly was the life of the party, known for her infectious laughter, her passion for singing and dancing, and her unwavering spirit. A die hard COWBOYS fan with a major fan base and group of friends to support. She was a social media icon and often has strong relationships with those who knew her. She was also a very well-known bus driver for Laidlaw and Boyd in the city of Harrisburg for over 10 years. Many people knew her to be the best bus driver and during the holidays thought of different things to do for her high school students including trips to Field of Screams for them. She is not just known to be the life of the party, but she IS the party; quick to split in a heartbeat.
A talented writer, Shelly had a way with words that captivated everyone around her. She embraced life with her motto, "Go big or go home," always encouraging those around her to live fully and fearlessly. Her kindness knew no bounds; she was the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back and offer a listening ear, no matter the hour. She was also very God-fearing and would always encourage people to pray because she knew God showed up for her many times in her life. Shelly was unapologetically herself, never hesitating to speak her mind, a trait that endeared her to friends and family alike.
During the last few years of her life she was sick alot and back and forth in the hospital. She was on disability during this time and often had to do things herself or with the help of a nurse. She was very head strong in wanting to do things on her own as she didn't believe in being demobilized. She was one to keep pushing and pressing because she was strong and capable.
I appreciate all donations at this time.
