Help Us Honor Nashir Ahmed and Support His Family

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Tania Ahmed, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart. I am raising funds on behalf of my beloved father, Nashir Ahmed, a 65-year-old man whose life was tragically taken from us in March. He was brutally murdered in an assault at a bus stop, passing away in the hospital five days later. This senseless act of violence has left our family shattered and in desperate need of support. There's a reason why I'm only writing this now, please read below:

Our Goal

We are hoping to raise £5,000 to cover the funeral expenses and provide some financial relief for our family during this incredibly difficult time. The funeral service and headstone cost approximately £4,500, and the remaining funds will help Nashir's wife with living expenses as she raises their two underage children alone. One of these children is due to start university this September, adding further financial strain on our family.

Why We Need Your Help

The funds raised will help provide much-needed financial relief for Nashir's wife, giving her the support she needs to care for their children. This cushion will help cover overdue bills and living costs, allowing us some breathing room as we navigate this new and painful reality.

A Father's Love and Legacy

No family should ever have to endure this nightmare. A complete stranger attacked our vulnerable, retired father, who posed no threat and used a walking aid. Attacked on the day of his 20th wedding anniversary... We had to wait for a month for the body to be released due from post mortem examinations to the murder investigation, which delayed the funeral and added to our anguish. Writing this and setting up this page was a constant reminder of our loss, but the overdue bills left us no choice but to ask for help. The perpetrator was arrested after hiding from the police for 10 days, and we are still awaiting the trial. Our father, a loving and caring husband, brother, and grandfather, is deeply missed by everyone in the Bangladeshi community. His life was stolen, and we are left to pick up the pieces.
