Help Us Honor Nykia's Memory and Seek Justice

Hi, I'm Marketa Boston, the mother of Nykia Boston. I can't believe I'm typing this. Words can't express the pain my family and I are experiencing right now. Attempting to fathom the actuality that I am tasked with burying yet another children is so unreal.
On July 29, 2024 as we were walking down the road, our beloved daughter, sister, niece and friend, Nykia, was tragically struck by a driver. To make matters worse, the driver failed to take responsibility for his actions and fled the scene. He hit my daughter so hard she flew several feet and landed in the woods.
Unfortunately, due to her injuries, my daughter succumbed to her injuries on the scene of the accident. Our family is devastated by this major loss.
On October 7, 2023 my son was murdered in Elizabeth City, NC. At the time, I was residing in Tennessee but I came home to take care of his final arrangements. I have not been able to go back home because I was trying to help my daughter and other children navigate their new normal with loosing their brother to senseless violence. In the midst of attempting to recover from one detrimental loss, we sadly are faced with another.
Nykia was a goal driven woman who loved her family and friends. Nykia had completed her Bachelor degree in Accounting. And currently was currently enrolled in the Master’s degree program for Accounting at Strayer University. Nykia was a quiet individual who in her spare time loved to read, draw and show love. She had a passion for Praise Dancing. She was afforded the opportunity to showcase her talent and love for the Lord at many churches and events.
A simple walk home should not resulted in her untimely passing. As our family is heartbroken and continues to fight for justice of my daughter, we are asking for assistance with the expenses of her Homegoing Celebration and legal fees. We want to do everything in our power to make sure that Justice is served for Nykia. Any donation is truly appreciated. My family and I eternally grateful for the support we have received. Please keep us in your prayers as we fight again justice and as we try to lay Nykia to rest.
Thank you!
