Help us lay our mother Mattie Thomas to rest with Honor.

My mother, Mattie Thomas, departed from us on September 25, 2024, unexpectedly. We believed that since our father served in the Army Reserves and my mother's life insurance policy would cover her funeral and burial expenses; however, due to a life insurance policy lapse and some family members not being alerted, we were wrong.

We were informed by the funeral director that the out-of-pocket expenses would cost $6,545.00. Thanks to family members and friends, we were able to get half of the out-of-pocket expenses, but we cannot lay our mother to rest until we pay the full $6,545.00 48 hours prior to the funeral service. I know that times are hard, but if anyone could make a contribution to help us lay our mother to rest, we would be forever grateful.
