It is with great sadness that we have come to the point of having to lay the Matriarch of our family to rest.
Laura Paulette Carthen-Porter was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, loved by many with a very kind and giving soul.
About Paulette:
Through the years she was an Entertainer that performed with Mac Davis, The Heavenly Ambassadors for Christ and Also 4 With God. She also Co Wrote “Make Up Your Mind” a Gospel Music Drama that she sang and Also acted in!
Paulette loved to be in the community as a cook for the Boys and Girls Club she mentored many kids that came thru there. She also worked with ambassador outreach cooking for community events for kids year round.
She was also a Lead and Background singer for the band “Margret’s Funk Band” she loved the stage and loved to sing!
Unfortunately two years ago Ms Paulette developed a Lung disease called interstitial pneumonia, which was incurable. She fought long and hard, and continued to give us all Love and affection.
We are having to reach out to the community that she fed, loved, and entertained for many years to help with funds to give her a proper homegoing celebration.
