Help Us Honor Richard Johnson's Memory

Woww, what a way to enter the New Year. Hello to you all! First I’ll start by introducing myself. My name is Gloria Johnson, the mother of Richard Johnson of Madison, Wi. , who died whilst in police custody. On December 31, 2024 where I looked forward to another year, feeling blessed and grateful for me and my family making it through yet another year. That all changed within the blink of an eye. Just so abruptly my son was taken from me.

An investigation is underway so I don’t have details as of yet surrounding his death. “Lil Rick” best known as, was a very loved Man, Son, Brother,Uncle, Friend, Family member. Loved by many to say the least. Who will indeed truly be missed. At the scene paramedic's examined Lil Rick and cleared him to be taken to jail. He shortly after sustained to his injuries, upon arrival to the Dane County Jail. Not much information surrounding the cause of death has yet been provided. All while having to deal the reality of my son being gone I soon come to the realization that he’d in turn be in need of some assistance with his funeral arrangements. Being that, at the current time he didn’t have insurance to cover the cost. My family and I are seeking any blessings you are able to help with. We are hoping to have the opportunity to put him away as he deserved. Thank you. Anything would be appreciated.
