Shamyr Wilson of Alexandria, VA died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 29th at 24 years old. He was a deeply loved son, brother, friend, and hero. Shamyr graduated from West Potomac High School in 2014 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army with the goal to protect the interests of those around him.
Shamyr was a hard-working and selfless individual with a kind and gentle soul. Anyone who has ever met him would easily recognize his generous demeanor. His friends have said he was like a puppy: always excited to see you and always ready to join in on the fun.
