Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
It is with deep sorrow and a broken heart that we share the tragic loss of our precious 4-year-old son, Waylon, who passed away yesterday in a sudden drowning accident. Our world has been shattered, and we are struggling to come to terms with the loss of our sweet boy, whose presence in our lives brought us so much love.
Waylon had an incredible energy that filled every room he entered. He was always on the move, full of life and wonder, constantly exploring the world with bright eyes and a boundless curiosity. He was a little soul full of innocence and sweet affection, and his light will forever shine in our hearts.
In this difficult time, we are also faced with the unexpected costs of funeral arrangements. The sudden nature of this tragedy has left us unprepared, and while we are overwhelmed by the financial burden, we are incredibly grateful to share that a generous local funeral home has stepped up and offered to cover the costs of Waylon's funeral. However, as we still face the financial strain of caring for our three other children and the time Scott and I will need to take off work, any donations we receive will go toward helping with these ongoing expenses.
We are also starting a campaign to honor Waylon’s memory and ensure that all parks with bodies of water are properly fenced. Our goal is to help prevent such tragedies from happening to other families. Any remaining funds after covering our immediate expenses will go toward this important cause, allowing us to keep Waylon’s legacy alive by working to make parks safer for everyone.
We also ask for your prayers as we navigate this painful journey. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we try to find the strength to move forward in the wake of this devastating loss. Your support, whether through donations or prayers, would mean so much to us during this incredibly difficult time.
We are deeply grateful for any help you can offer—whether it’s through a financial contribution, sharing this page, or simply keeping our family in your prayers. Your kindness and generosity will be a source of comfort as we grieve the loss of our son and brother.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and prayers. They are a great comfort to us as we face the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye to our little one.
With love and gratitude,
