Help us host the International Samba Congress!

Dear Community,

It is our pleasure announce this years edition of the International Samba Congress (ISC) and we would love to count on your support! The ISC is known worldwide as the biggest celebration of samba outside of Brazil and will take place in the cosmopolitan city of Los Angeles from July 14-16th.

With a theme “Reunion - Reencontro”, this three-day event will provide a unique cultural exchange experience to participants through activities including dance workshops, music workshops, history lectures, and dance and music performances by Brazil’s leading artists. The 2019 ISC featured a showcase with performances by the stellar line-up of more than 50 dance and drumming teachers. This showcase, called “Fountains of Life: An Exploration of the Fluidity of Samba and its Roots", was presented at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center and open to the general public.

We are delighted that after several online editions of the ISC due to the global pandemic, the 2023 ISC will provide once again an opportunity for the 32 outstanding Brazilian artists, the majority of them coming from Brazil, to share the richness of Brazilian arts and culture with the international samba community, including not only dancers but also musicians, who will gather July in Los Angeles. Based on high enrollment in 2017, 2018 and 2019, it is anticipated that in 2023 over 500 participants will gather at the ISC for an unforgettable in-person experience.

Donations help cover the cost incurred for these artists to come and share their rare gifts and talents outside of Brazil, those in Los Angeles and in the country. Below are cost breakdowns and how you can assist our artists:

$500.00 helps covers cost of food

$1000.00 helps cover room and board

$2000.00 helps cover airfare, room and board
