Hi, we’re Brianna and Shauna Sorensen, the daughters of Glen Sorensen. Our dad is truly one of a kind—a man who has spent his life loving, supporting, and caring for others, especially his family.

For over 10 years, Glen has been battling Parkinson’s disease, and five years ago, he was also diagnosed with dementia. Despite these challenges, his kind heart and selfless spirit continue to shine through. He’s been living in a memory care facility where the staff genuinely care for him—something rare and precious in nursing home environments. This care has given him the stability, dignity, and compassion he so deeply deserves.

But as many of you know, in the United States, neither Medicare nor private insurance covers long-term nursing home care. Our dad’s retirement savings, which he worked so hard to build, are nearly depleted. Without financial support, he risks losing the one place where he feels safe and cared for—a devastating reality we’re fighting to prevent.

Our dad has always been our rock. When our mom passed away 16 years ago, Glen didn’t just step up; he became both “dad” and “mom” to us. He poured his heart into making sure we had everything we needed, putting our happiness and well-being above his own every single day. He taught us what it means to love unconditionally, to persevere through hardships, and to always show up for the people who matter most.

We’re asking for your help to ensure Glen can stay in the memory care facility that has become his home.
