Help Us Lay Amador Alvarez to Rest
Donation protected
Hi everyone, it is with great pain and suffering to be writing on mine and my family’s behalf that my grandfather, Amador Alvarez, has passed to be with God and his son. He was so special that he decided to go on his birthday 10/4/1945-10/4/2024. He was a great man, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. All of his life he worked in landscaping and he loved it. He was really ill over the course of these past two weeks where he became hospitalized because he was losing mobility and function in his right foot, losing appetite, vomiting, and becoming more ill. As soon as he arrived at the emergency room, he had a blood transfusion done as he had become anemic. Doctors thought he had a GI bleed, but it ended up being stomach ulcers that ruptured. Doctors ran tests to tell us he had prostate cancer that had spread to his bones—his spine had it the worst, which explained the loss of mobility in his legs and the ability to move. Our family was there every single day at the hospital with all of our faith and positivity he was going to be okay once he started treatment and was discharged home, where he would be in higher spirits and under our care. Back in 2018, he suffered a major cardiac arrest that he beat and had a pacemaker on his heart since then. Friday morning 10/4/24, we were informed that around 9 AM he had a massive heart attack to which his pacemaker could not bring his heart to start beating. Doctors began manual CPR, giving him medications through his IV and injections, intubating him, and then moving to mechanical compressions for two hours trying to get his heart to start beating. He was the strongest man we all knew. He was charismatic, funny, hard-working, caring, a family man, and a man of God. The immense amount of pain that is left in our heart has no cure. If you can find it in your heart to donate any amount to help us lay him to rest during this difficult time, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for taking the time to read his story, God bless.
