Help Us Lay My Son, Anthony Leroy McCrea, to Rest

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
It is with the heaviest heart that I, Elaine Morgan, share the devastating news of my son, Anthony Leroy McCrea. On October 20, 2024, while riding his bike home from work, Anthony was tragically hit by a van and didn’t survive. His sudden and untimely passing has left our family in deep sorrow and facing an unimaginable reality.

Anthony, known to many as Leroy, was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, on December 19, 1980. He was taken from us far too soon, leaving behind a grieving family and three beautiful daughters who were the light of his life. He was working hard to build his catering business and was full of dreams, determination, and love for his family.

Now, we find ourselves in a place we never imagined—trying to figure out how to give my son the peaceful farewell he deserves. I live in New Jersey and work as a janitor. I am completely heartbroken. I have been unable to go back to work since hearing the news of my son’s passing, and we are all struggling to find the strength to keep going.

My kids are spread across different states and countries, each going through their own financial hardships. The burden of funeral costs has become overwhelming, and we are humbly asking for help.

The funds raised will be used to:
- Bring Anthony out of the hospital to the funeral home.
- Help with the costs of funeral arrangements.
- Allow our family to gather and lay him to rest with dignity and peace.

We know times are tough for everyone, and it’s not easy to ask for help, but we are trusting in the kindness of others to help us through this heartbreaking time.

Anything you can give, no matter how small, will make a world of difference to the Morgan and McCrea families as we try to find peace in this tragic loss.

Anthony was so much more than his final moments. He was a devoted father, a hard worker, and someone who was always full of life. To anyone who knew him, you’d know how big his heart was and how much he cared for the people around him. Our family is shattered, but with your support, we hope to honor him by bringing him home and giving him the proper goodbye he deserves.

Please, if you find it in your heart, help us send Anthony home to rest. Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this story with others would mean so much to us.

From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of our entire family, thank you for your love, support, and generosity during this difficult time.

With gratitude,
Elaine Morgan & The Morgan and McCrea Families
