Help Us Lay Benjamin Alfred Hale to Rest

Yáʼátʼééh / Han Mitakuyepi,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our beloved father, Benjamin Alfred Hale, who has begun his journey to the Spirit World.
Our father was a proud member of the Diné Nation, from the Kin Łichíi’nii (Red House clan) and born for the Tódík’ǫ́zhí (Saltwater clan).
Our father had been fighting cancer for many years with quiet strength. His sudden passing has left our family devastated.
We are unprepared for the financial challenges that come with laying our loved one to rest in a way that honors his spirit and legacy.
My father was an Old Style fancy feather dancer, his greatest passion in life was Powwow Song & Dance. He took great pride in singing with his family drum group “Hale & Company,”
Through his family dance troupe, the “Eagle Spirit Dancers,” he brought Native culture to life through sharing the beauty of our people through stories, songs, and dances.
He was a gifted craftsman, known for his artistry, and a phenomenal storyteller who spoke from the heart. He loved teaching others and brought light to every cultural presentation, performance, or conversation he engaged in. Our father was a philosopher and educator—someone who enjoyed deep spiritual discussions and had a gift for making people feel seen and heard.
He loved his children with all his heart and cherished time spent at home with his loving companion, Victoria.
He had a good way of helping those around him—offering prayers, wisdom, and comfort to many friends over the years. He lived the peyote way of life.
After a long and quiet battle with cancer, his passing came suddenly, leaving our family heartbroken.
We are humbly asking for your support to help our family with funeral expenses during this difficult time. Any contribution is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support. We will share details about his arrangements and services as soon as they are confirmed.
Ahéhee’ (Thank you) for your continued love, prayers, and support.
We truly appreciate your help.
With much love and gratitude,
Tawny, Leya, Crystal, Alethea, Aurelia, and Benjamin Jr.
