Help us lay my mom, Leticia Gutierrez to rest

My sweet mother, Leticia Gutierrez, lost her life on January 24th 2021, at the age of 70. She was in the hospital for three weeks on the ventilator and was battling with Covid Pneumonia as well as Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Her oxygen levels were critically low and her heart stopped twice. After three hard weeks and no improvement in her severely injured lungs, her heart slowly stopped, the doctors called us and we were able to see her one last time and she passed away peacefully shortly after.
All her family and everyone that knows her are very devastated and in shock that Covid took her life. We were all hoping and praying for a miracle and that she would recover, but unfortunately that didn't happen. God had another plan for her and took her home to heaven.
She leaves behind her only daughter and 3 grandkids and many more family and friends that are extremely saddened and hurt by her sudden death. She was such a great mother, sister, grandma, aunt, cousin, niece and person.
My mon lived a quiet life, she was the most happiest when she was with her family and when she talked to her friends. One of her lifetime goals was to go back to Cananea and visit.
Due to the swift of events and unexpected circumstances, we would really appreciate any help that we can possibly get for our mother. Obviously as you all know, something like this is not planned and financially we were not ready for this. That's why I have created this go fund me for my mom.
We are asking family and friends for financial help to help cover the cremation costs for my mom and to be able to lay her to rest. Any help is very appreciated, me and my family greatly appreciate and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Due to Covid, all mortuaries in Redlands and I'm sure all over are very busy and backed up due to people losing their life's from this horrible virus. I will have my moms body cremated. I am going to hold her ashes. Part of her Ashes will be taken to Cananea Sonora, where she was born and raised and the one place she longed to go back to. I feel she would be the most happiest going back home.
All funds will come to me, her daughter Elena Vargas, and I will make sure it all goes towards her funeral expenses. Any amount will be greatly appreciated
We miss you and love you so much Leticia Gutierrez. Gone to soon. We will always keep you in our hearts and minds, and treasure all the memories. May you rest in peace mom.
Thank you so much!
