Help Us Lay the Foundation for Our Mosque & Community Center

Donation protected
Assalamu Alaikum!

We’re excited to share our transformative project: constructing a state-of-the-art Islamic Center in Lincolnwood, IL, led by the Bosnian Educational and Cultural Center of America.

We’ve Already Raised $5 Million – Now We Need Your Help to Complete the Next $5 Million Goal!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we’ve already raised $5 million towards the construction of our new center - $2 million has been used to acquire the land and we have $3 million remaining for construction.

Now, we’re focused on raising $5 million more to bring our vision to life, and we’ve decided to break it down into smaller, more manageable campaigns.

Each campaign will highlight an exciting sneak peek into the project, so you can see exactly where your support is making a difference as we move forward.

Our first target is $200,000.

Sneak Peek into Our First Major Project: The Foundation

We’re excited to share an update on the progress of our project! We’re currently in the crucial pre-development phase, which includes laying the groundwork for a strong and stable foundation. This involves installing aggregate piers – an essential step to ensure the site is ready for construction. Your support will help cover the costs of this important phase, bringing us closer to making our vision a reality for generations to come. We have a targeted start date of May 1st, 2025 for this crucial project!

With your support, we can lay the groundwork for something truly special.

This center will be a cornerstone for the Bosnian community in the Chicagoland area, while also welcoming individuals from all backgrounds. Rooted in unity and inclusivity, it will provide a safe, nurturing space for worship, education, and cultural exchange.

About the Center
With over 900 families from Bosnia and the broader Balkans, BECCA aims to unite and enrich the community through various programs. As our membership and activities grow, we're embarking on a project to create modern facilities spanning 30,000 square feet. This will include a prayer hall, classrooms, a gym, social areas, a museum, and offices, catering to diverse needs and promoting interfaith dialogue by opening the prayer hall and museum to Muslims and non-Muslims alike during designated hours.

Educational offerings will encompass Bosnian language, history, geography, and arts courses, alongside preschool and kindergarten programs. Additionally, our facilities will host lectures, celebratory events, and recreational activities to promote social cohesion and healthy lifestyles among our members. Join us in building a community center that embodies unity, knowledge, and compassion for generations to come.

The Bosnian Educational and Cultural Center of America will serve as a dynamic hub for religious, educational, and community activities, featuring:

  • Masjid for prayer and spiritual reflection
  • Classrooms for Islamic and Bosnian language education
  • Library fostering personal and academic growth
  • Museum commemorating the Bosnian Genocide of the 1990s, and honoring the memory of those affected.
  • Sports facility promoting health and community engagement
  • Childcare facility to support families and nurture the next generation.
  • Community spaces for gatherings, celebrations, lectures, and programs that strengthen community bonds

How You Can Help
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise." (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 450, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 533)

Your contribution, no matter the size, is an act of sadaqah jariyah—continuous charity. Your support will help us take this essential step toward creating a space where generations can come together to pray, learn, and grow.

Spread the word! Share this campaign with family, friends, and your network.

Together, we can make this dream a reality.
JazakAllahu Khairan for your generosity and support.
