Help Us Make a Difference for Special Needs Students at Reynalds Cross School – Support Our Accessible Pathway Fundraising Campaign!

Hi everyone!

As some of you might know, I’m a parent of a wonderful child at Reynalds Cross School – a school that is incredibly close to my heart. My child, along with many others, benefits from the support and resources provided by the staff and community at this special educational needs school. But as with many schools, particularly those for children with complex needs, funding is always a challenge.

I’m running the 2025 London Marathon in April to raise much-needed funds for Friends of Reynalds Cross School (FORCS), the charity that supports the school and its students. The funds raised will directly support a vital project: building an accessible path to the school playing field, enabling all the children to experience the joy of outdoor play and benefit from the healing, educational, and therapeutic effects of nature.

Currently, many of the students at Reynalds Cross are unable to access the playing field because of physical barriers. These children, who often have multiple disabilities, need specialist staff, resources, and facilities to thrive – but that doesn’t mean they should miss out on the simple pleasures, wellbeing and benefits of being outdoors.

This accessible path will open up an entirely new space for our children, allowing them to engage with the outdoors, play freely, and enjoy the benefits of fresh air, exercise, and nature – something that many of us take for granted, but is incredibly important for children with special needs.

Why Your Support Matters:

• The children at Reynalds Cross have multiple disabilities and require specialist support and facilities.

• The school’s budget doesn’t come close to meeting the needs of the students, which is why FORCS works tirelessly to fund projects like this.

• Many students currently can’t access the playing field, and the path will help change that.
