Help Us Make a Difference in Our Rural Communities

Hello, my name is Pumlani, and beginning of 2023 I started a non-profit (EMBO Community Outreach) based in a rural village in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa which is the most underserved province in our country.

Our main focus is providing reading books, stationery, school uniforms, and other necessities for school children and young people in rural communities. By doing this I hope that we can 'keep hope alive' and keep every child in school, and reduce the increasing dropout rate caused by the inability of parents to meet the basic needs of school-going children.

Some of our main needs are for:- reading books, stationery, and school uniforms (especially shoes, shirts, & underwear), sanitary towels, hygiene products, underwear etc for children from underprivileged backgrounds. We also have a budding reading and chess club that needs more chess sets and books as well as creative materials.

There are also families with school children living below the poverty line in our communities and we are hoping we can raise enough to be able to buy food parcels so that no child goes to school hungry.
