Help Us Memorialize the Legacy of the Late Great Dave Lewis

Donation protected
Dave Lewis was and is a pioneer as much as Lewis and Clark or Chief Seattle, he was inducted into the Northwest Music Hall of Fame in 1996 2yrs BEFORE his death.
Seattle 630 A.M. did not include Dave on its Mt Rushmore or Who's who. McLemore and Mix-A-Lot are and were great but they were not in Seattle when Dave Lewis crossed over and was invited into some of the most racist venues around and once he was in they never let him go, he was the first in Seattle to buy a 1964 Lincoln Continental with suicide doors and was reportedly making thousands weekly, and his memorial should have been done waaaay before now, we have to honor that, and the man plus his accomplishments and the fact that he opened the door for other fellow black musicians of the day.
Lets put some respect on his name. Lets memorialize Dave Lewis in a way that Jimmy Hendrix and Quincy Jones would expect after jamming in his father's basement on 26th and East Charles where he resided for 30 years plus teaching music. ESPECIALLY Jimmy's father Al who often got his hair cut for many years by David Senior (AKA Pop Lewis) as he was a talented accomplished musician in his on right who played the acoustic 12 string guitar.
Unbeknowst to most Dave was a twin and most importantly to the world he was introduced to the piano originally by his mother Bertha Lewis (who was a church pianist at F.A.M.E on Seattle's 1st Hill, but young Dave Lewis switched over to the Hammond B3 organ with the Leslie (self-taught by the way) and never looked back.
In the movie Ray when it was set in Seattle where Quincy could not enter the venue because he was too young (the club was called the Black and Tan on Jackson St.)
The Dave Lewis combo was the House band that opened up for Ray Charles in REAL LIFE!
The meager attempt of a memorial on the side of a mailbox on Jackson and 23rd in front of the old Starbucks simply WON'T DO!!
If we call him the Godfather and the King of Northwest R &B then let's honor him like one! Lets Uplift a Legend to Legendary status ,Its Long overdue.
The family deserves to see the patriarch of the family that has given so much adulated to his rightful place...Dave Lewis Jr. whose was a church drummer for 12 years, DeVonne Lewis (grandson) who is a first call Jazz drummer for 2 decades that has travelled the world with his craft, and finally Donovan Kranzler-Lewis (great-grandson) who is a budding Jazz drummer prodigy currently studying at Jazz-Ed. who has already worked a couple professional gigs furthering the mighty Lewis legacy which will be passed on by DeVonne in due time
