Help us sustain the Loss and Damage Collaboration

Loss and damage from climate change is happening right now. Across the world disasters like wildfires, sea-level rise, cyclones, floods and desertification and heatwaves are leaving people homeless, jobless and displaced.
Although a Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage has been set up contributions have yet to reach 1 billion USD when trillions are needed each year to enable developing countries and the frontline communities within them to address loss and damage from climate change. This needs to change! We are working to make that happen but we urgently need support to keep going!
Who Are We?
The Loss and Damage Collaboration (L&DC) is a group of practitioners, researchers, activists, creative practitioners and decision makers from both the global North and South working together to ensure that developing countries and the vulnerable people and communities within them, have the support they need to address climate change-related loss and damage.
What Do We Do?
We undertake research, do advocacy work, do outreach and convene discussions across communities of practice with the aim of ensuring the most vulnerable have the support they need to address loss and damage.
How Do We Work?
With over 250 members across the world we work virtually, convening monthly meetings and joint working group calls to share updates and information, expertise and skills and to collectively undertake research and develop thought leadership. We also attend the climate negotiations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Cha to push for the most ambitious outcome on Loss and Damage.
Why Support Us?
The practitioners, researchers, activists, creative practitioners and decision makers that make up the Loss and Damage Collaboration are world-leading experts that work on the ground at the front lines of the climate crisis, at United Nations climate change conferences, for change-making NGOs, and boundary-pushing research institutions focused on human rights, justice, and equity.
