Help Chuck’s battle against Esophageal cancer
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is April and I am making this page for my father, Chuck, who was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer. My dad is only 57 years old. He has 2 daughters and 3 step-children, and is a wonderful grandfather to many grandchildren. He is also the husband to my stepmother, Renee. Earlier this year, after months of being in pain, to the point he couldn't even eat, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. It is still early in the process, but it has now been confirmed that he will need to start chemo and will also need to have a feeding tube put in since he is unable to eat.
At this point it looks like after the chemo, he will also need radiation and surgery, so he has a long, hard road ahead of him.
My dad has always been a hard worker, spending most of his life working outdoors, in landscaping and roofing, but because of his condition and the amount of pain he is in, he is no longer able to work. For the past 10+ years, Renee had been working as a caregiver to an elderly woman, but she recently passed away. Because of these circumstances, they are using the very last of their finances to cover their bills this month.
We are trying to be hopeful that he will have a full recovery after his treatment and will be able to get back on his feet and start working again, but for now I am asking for any help at all to help them get their bills covered over the coming months so they don't have the added burden and stress of worrying about possible homelessness as they navigate through this difficult time and deal with his treatment.
Thank you so much!
