Help us open our tuition-free school in Uganda!!!

If you have been following our journey, you know that we have been working tirelessly for years building a school and community center in Madu Village, near Nakasajja, Uganda. We have now built the ENTIRE CAMPUS and are finally READY TO OPEN OUR SCHOOL!!!! Create Foundation & Academy will provide children in need in rural Uganda a completely tuition-free, quality education, as well as empower members of local communities through job opportunities, education and outreach initiatives.
We have been given the go-ahead by the Ugandan Ministry of Education to OPEN OUR SCHOOL SEPTEMBER 1ST OF THIS YEAR!!!!!!!

This project is a true labor of love and has been made possible by so much hard work, dedication and support by so many wonderful people who have contributed to the building of this school!!! We have finally made it!!!! We cannot contain our joy and excitement to finally open our doors and begin to change the lives of so many deserving children through education!
Create Foundation has built:
- A CLASSROOM BLOCK which consists of 3 larger-than-standard classrooms, 2 offices and a storage room
- The school's KITCHEN & DINING HALL where all student & staff meals will be prepared and enjoyed
- The school's RESTROOMS - a boys set and a girls set, each featuring 4 stalls, two sinks, mirrors, fully plumbed toilets and sinks
- A MEDICAL CENTER where a board certified nurse will always be present to care for ill/injured students, and which will double as a free community care clinic for people of local villages outside of school hours
- A PLAYGROUND - complete with two sets of swings, a playscape with tunnel, two slides and a seesaw
- A CLEAN WATER WELL which will not only provide water for the school, but has been providing over 1,500 local people access to clean, safe drinking water since 2020
- An access ROAD through the village to our campus
Create Foundation has also:
- Provided over 70 people of local villages fair-paying jobs
- Regularly provided clothing, food and necessities to people of local communities
- Organized outreach initiatives like play programs for the local children and a community Christmas celebration

More about Create and the problem we are addressing;
MISSION
The Mission of C.R.E.A.T.E. is to empower the people of rural Uganda and create lasting positive change by constructing and operating a pre-primary school and community center which will provide children in need a free, quality education, as well as serve members of local communities through job opportunities, educational programs and outreach initiatives.
91% of Uganda's children are not accessing pre-primary education.
We are working to change that.
Create Foundation is a grassroots organization working on the ground in rural Uganda to make an impact on communities who need it most. Our mission is to provide a solution to one of Uganda's most critical problems - lack of educational opportunities. In Uganda, less than 9% of children have access to pre-primary education. In rural areas, the numbers are significantly less. We are constructing a pre-primary school which will provide children in need a tuition-free education, as well as empower local communities through fair-paying job opportunities, education, and outreach initiatives.
In Uganda, there is no taxation system implemented that covers public schooling. If a child wants to attend school, they must pay tuition to attend every single term. Schools also often require students to purchase a uniform, and bring a list of requirements (notebooks, pens/paper, soap, cleaning supplies, money for food) and those requirements alone are often unaffordable for families struggling to make ends meet. With many families having multiple children, the task to find money for each child's tuition becomes nearly impossible. Families cannot afford to pay the fees for their children to attend pre-primary, and so, they often save up to send their children to Primary One (first grade). This poses a major problem, as children enter P1 with no previous early childhood education - many do not know how to read, write, or have ever set foot in a classroom. This often results in children being unable to keep up, repeating P1 or dropping out.
Create Foundation strongly believes every children deserves access to education and that the fundamentals learned in pre-primary are essential. We are constructing a pre-primary school in Madu Village, Uganda, which will provide children in need a completely tuition-free education. The majority of people living in this area live on less than $1 USD a day, and simply cannot afford school fees for their children. Our school will provide the invaluable opportunity to begin their academic journey on time and to receive the strong foundation needed to continue their academic careers successfully.
Our students will not only be provided a quality education, but they will join a community where they are empowered, encouraged and uplifted! We will prepare our future students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become productive members of society and be the generation that continues to change and evolve their country for the better, taking critical steps towards a more self-reliant Africa.
Create's impact will reach far beyond our future students. It will be an innovative community built upon generating business and empowering the people of local villages with skills, knowledge, job opportunities and more. The School itself will provide dozens of jobs (teachers, administrative staff, security, cooks, maintenance workers, etc.), which will pay fair wages in an environment conducive to growth. We will also utilize classroom space after school hours to offer Adult Education classes and trade school programs. We will also implement community outreach initiatives such as Women's Empowerment Seminars, leadership building workshops, computer training courses, and activities where members of the local communities can learn critical life skills like budgeting, how to create a resume, job interview training and more. The school will also feature shop rentals in an area outside of campus where members of the community can rent space to operate their own business, helping to empower entrepreneurs and stimulate local economy, while helping to generate revenue back to the School and suppling necessary items to people who live locally.
Please consider making a donation to help us open our school!! We have just a few months to raise the funds, purchase these necessary requirements and begin hiring staff. Our entire team here on the ground in Uganda, and also in the United States appreciate your support from the bottom of our hearts!!!
We believe in the transformative potential of education and are ready to begin changing so many lives for the better!!!!
Much love from the Create Team!
