Help Us Our Family Recover from the War in Gaza

Hello, this is Yasmine, Safa and Saleem Batniji making this gofundme on behalf of our Family in Gaza. This is from our cousin Nour:

My name is Nour Batniji and I am a 19 year old computer engineering student from Gaza. I have a lot of dreams for what I’d like for my life but due to the recent war in my beloved city, my dreams have been destroyed. Now, the most important thing in my life is my family. My older sister Raghda with her husband and 3 children who recently lost their grandma because of lack of medical care. My brother Mohammed Batniji, his wife and 2 kids and my brother Bahaa Batniji. I often think of Friday gatherings, the laughter, joy and happiness we had.

But this is all a distant memory now. Since Oct 7th, our life has turned upside down. On the 13th, we had to evacuate to south Gaza, where we spent 2 months in horror, lack of sleep, and being away from each other. Again and again we have evacuated. Each time we do so, the kids cry because they just want to go home and play with their toys. We have suffered from the, horror, homelessness, lack of sleep, stress, anxiety, lack of food, water and safety. So many of these feelings that I can’t describe.

In these months we have lost a lot, our education, income, home, and even our loved ones. The thing I’m most afraid of is losing a family member.

I started this fundraiser to help with relocation fees and access to medical attention, food, water and shelter within Egypt. All I want now is to return to some semblance of normal life. The funds will be spent on getting housing in Egypt, completely rebuilding and starting our lives over, with clothes, blankets, cooking materials such as pots & pans, everyday food and all other expenses for starting our lives over. The money from this gofundme will be sent to me by our cousins in the US, Yasmine, Safa and Saleem.
