Help us pay for Jose Tamayo's medical expenses

My name is Maria Tamayo and I'm here trying to raise funds to continue my brother Jose Tamayo's ongoing medical treatment.

Back in June my brother went to the ER and was admitted into ICU for a blood infection after a month of trying to figure out what was causing the infection he went into surgery. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned during the procedure, and my brother went into cardiac arrest.

This episode caused my brother to have a severe brain injury. Insurance and facilities have denied him treatment so we are paying a Specialty Hospital out of pocket to help him with this brain injury. This has caused a big strain on our family since medical treatment and therapy is very costly.

At this point, we are obligated to do at-home care since we can no longer afford the Specialty Hospital.

Jose also known as Oso by his coworkers is the most loving and helpful brother we could ask for.

There is limited financial support for our family, and we need our brother to get better.

We have already exhausted all his life savings for his initial treatments.

We never expected such an unfortunate thing to happen, nothing less than a nightmare. My brother is going through a very tough time. He is now home but will require around-the-clock treatment as he can no longer care for himself. Insurance has denied his long-term care and some the medications that are needed.
