Help us pay for Maple's major leg surgery
Donation protected
Hello friends and new folks alike, this is our fundraising page for Maple: a little dog with a rather wonky leg. Clinically speaking, she has angular limb deformity, which began at about six months and progressively worsened in both legs. Unfortunately, now the right leg is so severe that if she does not have this life-altering correction done, it will lead to many problems in the future, including potential amputation.
In addition, the cost of living crisis has affected even the excellent veterinary specialists working so hard to make this surgery happen. This means that the projected £6000 cost of surgery has now gone up to £8000, something I have not been able to prepare for. Unfortunately, no insurance company covers the full cost of this particular case, so I have been left to cover the remainder on my own. I am lucky that the vets have allowed me to set up a payment plan to stagger the cost, so I have time to gather the funds.
Some amazingly generous people in my life have offered to help me with this, but I decided that a fundraiser in which I could give back would lay better on my conscience. Thus, my thoroughly talented artist friends have donated some beautiful fan art of Maple that may be bought as a digital download with your donation.
HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR FAN ART OF MAPLE:
1. Donate through this page:
- Under £50 = One piece of complimentary art
- £50 - £99 = Two pieces of complimentary art
- £100+ = Two pieces of complimentary art, and one personalised (only applicable to art by Roisin Kelly)
2. Email proof of donation to maplemochaccino @gmail.com with your choice of complimentary art (options have been posted in updates on this page)
HOW DOES DIGITAL ART WORK?
You will receive a digital copy of the specified artwork, meaning that you will own a full-resolution copy of the art that can be downloaded and given to a professional printer or used through a printing web service.
We decided this was the easiest way to share the art as there is no budget for P&P or printing/frames. There are many places (SnappySnaps is a great one) where you can get the art printed onto canvas, mugs, T-shirts, and so on!
