Honestly, this is so hard to write right now. I never thought something like this could happen. You do all the right things. You prepare for the worst, but sometimes it’s not enough. As some of you may or may not know, this year has been a tough one for our family and with the bitter has come a lot of sweet. William has a great new schools and friends. Sam has the best doctors we could ever imagine. And Will has an amazing job as a Sous Chef and has never been happier.
Randomly one weekend, Will was having trouble breathing and swallowing. I looked in his throat and what we thought was a tonsil had almost completely covered the back of his throat. We were worried but certainly it’s nothing serious?!? After a rush to the ER and tests, turned out that it’s a huge tumor on his left side. It is rapidly growing down into his neck and lymphnodes. We have had a plan for surgery and biopsy. Everything going to plan, and we weren’t even really planning on telling everyone. All of this happened in less than a month.
Well, it turns out his insurance will only cover $1000 of it. We are scrambling to come up with the $8000 that we need by Monday Jan. 14. After many back and forth phone calls with the hospital and insurance, we finally found out earlier today insurance wasn’t going to cover it. So maybe a miracle will happen and we will somehow find the money to make this happen. I know that we are strong as a family and no matter what we will get through this just like everything else we have faced so far. To whom ever sees this, thank you for taking the time to read this. If you want to contribute, you are in my graditude. If you have been in a similar situation and have advice, please share or even just some loving words.
