Help Us Pay the $100,000 Fine for Giving a Goalpost A Bath
Donation protected
Hey everyone! My name is Rob Wynkoop, a proud Vanderbilt Class of 2010 graduate and 18-year Vandy Fan, and I’m here to ask for your help after an EPIC night in Commodore history!
In case you missed it (though how could you?), the Vanderbilt Commodores knocked off the #1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide!
Naturally, we did what any reasonable, totally-not-overexcited fans would do: tore down a goalpost, marched it 3 miles down Broadway, and tossed it into the Cumberland River.
We’ve now been slapped with a $100,000 fine from the Southeastern Conference because apparently, they don’t appreciate a good ol' fashioned celebration like we do.
Who knew goalposts don’t come with a "must float" clause?
But here’s the deal: we need your help! I’m raising funds to pay off this fine so we can keep celebrating instead of sitting in a bottom of the SEC year after year.
Anything we raise here will go straight to the Anchor Impact Fund NIL Collective – because hey, if we’re going to beat Alabama next year, we need a little help securing the talent to do it again. Thank you Pavia and the Transfer Portal!!!
So whether you’re a Commodore fan, a Bama Hater, or just someone who loves the idea of a goalpost floating down the river, chip in what you can! Together, we can make sure this iconic moment stays in the history books – and this stupid fine doesn't negatively impact this incredible team!!
