My name is Josè, I am organizing this on behalf of Maryjane, Shannon and Caitlin Holt. For my good friend and their husband and father Ralph.

Why I'm fundraising

Help us pay tribute to Ralph a devoted husband and father and a great friend to all who knew him.

On the evening of December 8, 2023 Ralph was enjoying a quiet meal with his wife Maryjane and his two daughters Shannon and Caitlin. It was a gathering to celebrate Ralph’s 69th birthday. Just minutes after Ralph had a piece of his birthday cake he suffered a medical emergency and an evening of celebration turned into a tragedy. His daughters jumped into action calling 911 and then followed the operator’s instructions in administering medical aid to their dear father. He was then transported to a local hospital by ambulance where doctors treated him for a ruptured blood vessel in his brain. Unfortunately the area where the ruptured occurred was in a part of the brain very difficult to treat. Ralph passed away several days later with his family at his side.

Losing a husband , and a father any time of the year is very hard on any family but losing him during the holiday season is extraordinarily difficult.

Ralph was a devoted family man and great friend to those who were blessed with the chance to spend time with him. Ralph was funny, caring and outgoing and generous with his wisdom and time, he was quick to lend a helping hand when a friend needed it. Ralph was an exemplary father to his daughters who are two intelligent, hard working and respectful young adults thanks to both Ralph and Maryjane. Ralph was a faithful and dedicated husband to his wife Maryjane, they shared 50 years of their lives together as a loving couple.
