Help us print Rally - A mag on a mission

Hi! Welcome to Rally, a mag on a mission.

We’re a new multimedia magazine bridging the gap between storytelling and activism.

Our goal is to connect empathic people with important stories and meaningful steps towards real action. A powerful combo!

Each issue will cover a new theme, and our first is a deep dive into the experience of living with an invisible illness or disability.

Lived experience is at the centre of everything we do, so each issue of Rally is co-designed with members of our editorial team and an Advisory Board.

Where will the money go?

As a multimedia mag, we dream of seeing our first issue come to life in both digital and print formats. The digi side of things is close to complete, and we now just need a bit of help to cover the cost of the print issue.

Our first print run comes to an estimated cost of $10,000. We will be printing with local and environmentally responsible printer Print Graphics.

Why print when the issue will be available online?

‍By doing both, we get to explore more ways to present each story. We will also get to engage more people with different preferences for storytelling.

What will happen to the proceeds made from the printed magazine?

‍We don’t plan on being a one-hit wonder. The proceeds made from the printed mag will go towards funding the next issue of Rally Magazine.

When we set up Rally, we knew we wanted to pay our contributors and Advisory Board members for their time, insight and skills. So, we have! And we will continue to. There are also boring costs, like website fees and software subscriptions, to help keep us going.

The editorial team are all volunteers and at this stage we will not be reimbursed for our time. It’s a passion project, baby!
