Help us provide Hayden with a medical safety bed.

With a heavy heart I’m reaching out to the community asking for donations so we can get my son a Cubby Base Model Safety Bed. Hayden is an extraordinary child who deserves the best night’s sleep possible. This is something I never imagined having to do. As we’ve explored every option possible. It should not be legal to deny our son a safe and comfortable sleeping space with his diagnoses. I’ve taken his insurance all the way to court, applied for multiple grants, charities, wish foundations and waiver programs with no luck. Despite have five letters of medical necessity from his doctors and therapists. I’m a stay at home mom because of Hayden’s level of care and appointments. Ian works tremendously hard to make up for my lack of income.

Hayden was born in March 2019. He was so perfect and beautiful. However we quickly realized he was not hitting milestones and struggling with basic functions such as drinking a bottle. He was later diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. Hayden has faced so many physical and mental challenges in his short life. More procedures and surgeries than many adults, with only more to come.

He’s incredibly determined, sweet, resilient, funny, loving and smart. He deserves the best night’s rest possible especially with all his challenges. He’s in all day kindergarten and absolutely thriving, in addition to his many outpatient therapies. However this takes a lot out of him. A Cubby bed would provide him with the utmost safety possible. He’s at risk of falling, entrapment, self harm, etc. He also has sensory processing difficulties. All these reasons have lead us to the conclusion that this bed is medically necessary for his wellbeing.

We are looking to raise $7,000. The bed is approximately $6307. Any additional donations will go to covering fees, a mattress, taxes, installation, safety sheets, and changes to his bedroom. I can truly not express the impact and gratitude any donation will have. This will provide Hayden with the utmost safety and comfort for sleeping. In addition to improving his daily life and working towards his goals. While also enabling us all to sleep peacefully. Thank you so much!
