Help Publish My 90-Year-Old Grandfather’s Children’s Book – A Legacy in the Making
Some stories begin on the first page, but this one started over 60 years ago as a bedtime story my grandfather told my uncle as a little boy. Night after night, my grandfather wove an adventure filled with friendship, problem-solving, and wonder, creating a tale that would stay in our family for generations.
Back in the 1970s, he believed in his story enough to send it to publishers, hoping to share it with the world. He received responses—some with encouragement and constructive feedback—but at the time, the path to publication seemed overwhelming. Life moved forward, and he let the dream rest, choosing instead to keep the story alive within our family.
Now, at 90 years old, he’s ready to finish what he started. He came to me with one simple wish: to finally publish the story he created so long ago. But this time, he’s not doing it alone. His family has always been his greatest priority, and now, three generations are working together to bring his book to life. We have rewritten, proofread, and finalized the manuscript—but we need your help to take it across the finish line.
Our goal is to self-publish this book on Amazon by July 1st, for my grandfather’s 91st birthday. The funds raised will go directly toward:
• Professional editing to refine the story
• Illustrations that bring the characters to life
• Publishing and marketing costs to help share it with the world
I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Maybe the reason it wasn’t published back then was because this was always meant to be a family effort—a story passed down, shaped by generations, and now, shared with you.
If you’ve ever believed in the power of storytelling, the importance of chasing dreams at any age, or the magic of family traditions, I hope you’ll consider supporting us. Any contribution, big or small, will help make this dream a reality—not just for my grandfather, but for everyone who will one day read his story.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of this journey.
