UPDATE: We launched this fundraiser in June 2023 after experiencing rapid growth in the company that caused a cash-flow crisis.

With our community's support and the extraordinary efforts of our team, we shrunk a $500,000 gap to $200,000.

In fall, someone pledged a large investment that would cure our issues, but then quickly pulled those funds after seeing Row House's support for the Palestinian people suffering genocide and a total ceasefire.

So, we have resumed active fundraising to close the gap once and for all and make sure Row House and our creators are safe from folks who would try to put us out of business.

Over the past two-and-a-half years, you have seen us publish and amplify the voices of the most marginalized and brilliant among us—the voices of Black, Brown, LGBTQIA+, and disabled authors, illustrators, and designers—while paying them equitable fees for their work through our revolutionary 40/40 model (a $40,000 advance and 40% profit share).

You have seen our books win awards and top bestseller lists, and you've seen this house fight for our communities through our nonprofit work and activism.

And we did all of that with the support of our community—big things can happen when everyone does just a little.
