Help Us Raise A Million For Southport

Following the tragic events of 29th July 2024 in our home town, Southport Pleasureland and the Royal British Legion have joined forces to achieve a big goal - they plan to raise £1,000,000 for local hospitals, Alder Hey, and North West Air Ambulance.

Southport is a town in mourning after an attack on a yoga dance class for children took three innocent lives. Bebe King,

Elsie Dot Stancombe, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, will be forever missed by everyone who knew them.

Nothing we can do will be able to take away the pain that losing these three young girls has caused so many people, but we want to do something positive to help our community.

We're raising money for our local hospitals, including Alder Hey, because the work they do is so incredibly important. We’re lucky to have these NHS services, but it’s well known that they are underfunded. On that tragic day, the heroic work they did saved other victims of this terrible attack, and now it's time for Southport to come together to show their support.

As well as the hospitals, we saw first hand that day the vital work that North West Air Ambulance does, and there are children alive today because of them. As a charity funded solely by donations, they can only continue to save lives with public support.

£1 Million is a big goal, and we know it won't happen overnight. That's why we'll be carrying out a series of fundraising initiatives over the coming months.

Our key event will take place on 1st September at Southport Pleasureland. This will be a day of music, entertainment and fun activities, and it’s intended to be a safe place for the community to come together and start to heal, whilst raising essential funds for these wonderful causes.

So many children have been affected by what’s happened, and hopefully this event will give them an opportunity to come and just be kids for a day in a safe place where they can have fun with their families.
