On Monday the 20th of May, in the early hours of the morning, the apartment where my sister and uncle lived in Berkeley, South Carolina caught on fire, and they both perished in the flames. My eldest sister, Kenia Estefany Lazo Castro, was only 24 years old, still so young and hopeful for her future. My uncle, Milton Lazo, of 35 years was looking to create a better future for his 3 children back home. This unexpected and devastating tragedy has hit our family with immense grief. Thankfully , the Honduran consulate has agreed to help us send both bodies back to Honduras, so we have fixed the amount needed. Now what we’re asking for is help to pay funeral costs, including caskets, tomb stones, etc. We appreciate all the help and support we can get. God bless everyone this post reaches. El lunes 20 de mayo, en las primeras horas de la mañana, el apartamento donde vivían mi hermana y mi tío en Berkeley, Carolina del Sur, se incendió, y ambos perecieron en las llamas. Mi hermana mayor, Kenia Estefany Lazo Castro, tenía solo 24 años, todavía tan joven y esperanzada por su futuro. Mi tío, Milton Lazo, de 35 años, estaba buscando crear un futuro mejor para sus 3 hijos en casa. Esta inesperada y devastadora tragedia ha golpeado a nuestra familia con un inmenso dolor. Gracias a Dios, el consulado Hondureño se ha dispuesto a ayudarnos a repatriar los cuerpos a Honduras, pero aún necesitaríamos su ayuda para poder pagar los gastos fúnebres, incluyendo el ataúd, tumba, etc. Agradecemos toda la ayuda y el apoyo que podemos obtener.
