Hurricane Helene Relief Community Hub: Natural Canvas Tattoo

It is impossible to measure the countless ways in which strong community centers give rise to safe and thriving societies. Sadly, when these vital centers of community are devastated by a natural disaster, it’s just as impossible to measure the ways in which neighbors, friends, and family are made less safe by their absence.

Chad Wilderness built Natural Canvas Tattoo to serve as a heart of the community of Marshall, NC. Hosting special events, a recording studio,co-founding wART Radio, proudly supporting artists and members of the Marshall community - for the last 14 years, Chad has served an essential piece of the puzzle that makes Marshall so special and wonderful!

Sadly, Hurricane Helene laid waste to Natural Canvas Tattoo and now Chad Wilderness needs your help.

The flood waters destroyed all of the drywall, shop technology, including printers, computers, tattoo equipment, all the furnishings including chairs, tables, shelving and more. On top of all of that is a race to clean up the sludge, mud, sewage, and wreckage before mold and other dangers show up.
