Help us rebuild our goat farm
Donation protected
As many know, our barn burnt yesterday. We have been raising goats for 7 years. We have worked very hard to buy and breed the very best AGBA show goats. We were finally getting to the point where we felt we had the very best goats around. The reason we got into the goat business was our children. Our son, who is 16 now, has showed them for 4H the last 7 years, and our adopted daughters both started last year. We recently became 4H group leaders. A few weeks ago, we put all of our goats in the barn to keep warm during the incredibly cold Indiana weather. The fire was probably caused by a heat lamp being knocked down in one of our kidding stalls. We aren't the kind of people that look for handouts, but our children are suffering. After to speaking to the insurance, we don't even have enough to cover the barn. We didn't have insurance on the $20,000 worth of goats that died in the fire. We don't have any goats now. We simply want to get our small farm started again, so our children can continue in 4H and AGBA functions. I don't know what to say, besides God Bless.
