Help us rebuild our lives after losing everything in Helene.

Hey everyone. As most of you know by now, we had to evacuate our home in WNC because of Helene. While we are safe, our home is not. As of now, it is still mostly submerged in water. We had to leave very quickly, with pretty much just a few changes of clothes. We have nothing else. Everything is gone, lost, destroyed. We are starting over from literal square one. We aren't the type to easily ask for help, but at this point... well, I just don't know what else to do.

We are currently looking for a place to live, and no, I do not think we will be returning to NC. On top of losing everything, Chris is still battling brain cancer and his doctors are up here in DC. So we'll be looking anywhere within 2 hours of the district. Anything you can donate to us will be so very greatly appreciated. Nothing is too small as lots of small donations add up quickly! I'm sorry, I don't know how to write this; asking for help, especially money, is not a forte of mine. But we are hurting badly and any help at all would mean the absolute world. So thank you in advance. We will also gladly accept clothing, especially for the kiddos, and we are not the type to turn up our noses at hand-me-downs! Liam is 9, ten in December, and Charlotte is 6.
