My Family Lost Everything in a Fire
Donación protegida
I received a call late yesterday afternoon.
My older brother called to tell me that my mother's house went up in flames and they are pretty sure its gone.
After gathering some more information, it turns out my mother Cherrie, brother Jaime, his son James lost all of their belongings. Everything in the house was destroyed by fire damage and smoke damage.
It's incredibly difficult to type something like this while thoughts of the house I grew up in is gone. What's more difficult, is not being able to provide for my family and replace everything they have lost. My family has lived in that house for over 30+ years and its still incredibly surreal to see destroyed.
“The time between that call and when we pulled up was maybe two minutes, but by the time we got there, we couldn’t even see the house there was so much smoke,” said Capt. John Corippo.
Capt. John Corippo added, “What wasn’t damaged by flames was heavily damaged by smoke – everything they own.”
With your help, and the help of others, we can try to get Cherrie, Jaime and James back on their feet. Anything will help, however big or small, we know what it means to give a little when our own lives can be very busy.
