Help us renovate our center with treated wood
Donation protected
Hello! We, Fundación Aguilas de los Andes, are asking for your help once again, hoping this time for a more permanent solution. For the past 3-4 years we have been hit with La Niña phenomenon and our center has received lots of rain. If you recall we had another crowdfunding back in 2018 and we were able to renovate all the wood from our enclosures thanks to your generosity back then. We were not counting with this amount of rain and that wood is already rotten and literally falling apart thus endangering our patient and resident birds. The new wood we are hoping to get is immunized and the seller gives us a warranty of 20 years so we are hoping that after this new renovation we wont have to do anything for several years to come. The wood costs a lil over $8,100, the transportation will probably be around $2,000 or so and then the workers and other stuff (paint, nails, tiles, etc…) would be covered by the rest as any unforeseen circumstances. We also want to build a couple (3 or 4) enclosures so we can receive more patients, and an especial enclosure for owls and those would be around $8,000 more. Finally $3,500 will be used to pay our only employee for the next months, Alejandro.
We are hoping you can help us in our quest to make our center safe and larger so we can keep on saving the Colombian birds of prey for years! Thanks!
