Hey there! We are Scott & Brian Sylva-Mashburn and we are wavering in Winder.
We are raising the funds to repair our home after a fluke plumbing incident damaged the structure of our 1940’s craftsman bungalow in Winder, Georgia. The main sewage line came apart filling a small part of our crawlspace with sewage. Then it ran down the center of crawlspace towards the front of the house. In turn, this weakened the support down the center of the house causing the floors to fall 2+ inches. We thought homeowners insurance would cover this. Guess what! NO! They don't! What no one tell us is that insurance doesn't cover your foundation or any kid of ground movement.
Now that we have exhausted all legal efforts we are forced to raise the funds to repair our house. So far, we have raised enough to order all of the items we need to fix the front half of the house ourselves. We are hoping to raise the funds to fix the back half of the house or hopefully be able to hire a professional to do it for us. Ideally, we would hope to attract the attention of one or more of our favorite HGTV celebrities.
We know the past year has not been easy on a lot of people, but if you are able to donate, we thank you. Every little bit helps.
