Help Us Restore a River Arts District Landmark

Dear Friends and Community,

It's not easy for us to reach out for help, as we have always believed in carving our own path, but we have found ourselves in a situation where we truly need financial support or we face shutting our doors.

The Bull and Beggar restaurant, a cornerstone of the River Arts District in Asheville for the past 11 years, has been severely impacted by the flooding from Hurricane Helene. We are reaching out for support as we work towards recovery and restoration to address the damage and get back on our feet.

While we recognize that many in our community have faced even greater losses, we’ve received numerous requests for ways to contribute to our recovery. We want to be transparent about our needs and the steps we’re taking to reopen.

In addition to a separate GoFundMe supporting our dedicated employees, this campaign will specifically address the repairs and restoration of our restaurant. Your contributions will help us first and foremost remediate the mold. Unfortunately, our lease holds us responsible for any damages, including those caused by natural disasters like Hurricane Helene. We are committed to restoring our space to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our staff and patrons.

In addition we need must repair the flood water damage, replace the essential restaurant equipment, completely restock the kitchen and ensure that we can continue to serve our community for many years to come.

We deeply appreciate any support you can provide, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing our campaign with others. Hospitality is a two was street and together we can rebuild and come back stronger than ever.
