Help Magic Shop San Diego Rebuild
Donation protected
Hello Everyone! My name is Gregory Wilson. I am here to help my friend James Kellogg, Jr. He and His son James Kellogg, III have been devastated with the loss of their business due to a fire. They have lost everything. I am reaching out to you to help rebuild Magic Shop San Diego. I would like to share some history of the Kellogg’s and their journey. James Jr. started magic over 50 years ago and when his son was born he did not have a chance. James III started magic at a very young age of 7. Life went forward with the Kellogg’s with their dreams and passions. They opened 4 Magic stores and then started on the road of creating and manufacturing quality magic. They settled into a warehouse in Escondido Ca. The Kellogg team was on the road to success, within 5 years they built an extensive workshop. They wanted to make all the magic from their warehouse to proudly stamp on it “Made in the USA”. They had built their collection of machines to include EVERY machine it took to be a full machine shop, wood shop, print shop, video production shop, and largest inventory of antique magic and magic you could ever imagine. In addition James III wife (Amanda) had a business utilizing the print shop. Amanda’s business was making stickers and overlay stickers that go on pods for diabetics. Her business was to make the pods more fun for everyone especially kids. Everyone got so much joy with over a 1000 creative art work on the stickers. I am sure you have heard of the Kellogg’s in one way or another and always positive. This was going to be their best year ever with 4 new magic releases that I would have bought all of them. Amazing stuff. Until….. June 22 around 6:30 pm their lives have changed. Once dedicated lives to their passion, stoped…
Unfortunately, their world was turned upside down when a devastating fire engulfed the entire building. Everything they have painstakingly built over the years, has been reduced to ashes.
This fire didn't just destroy their physical assets; it shattered their dreams and jeopardized the future of their family business.
The impact of this fire is profound. It's not just about losing equipment and inventory; it's about losing their ability to sustain their employees and continue serving our magic community. Without your support, the road to recovery will be incredibly challenging.
Their immediate needs include clearing debris, rebuilding the physical structure, and replacing essential equipment so that they can get back to doing what they love: creating magic and serving their loyal customers.
Your generosity can make a world of difference in their journey to rebuild Magic Shop San Diego.
Here's how your donations will be utilized:
Cleanup and Reconstruction: They need to clear the debris and rebuild their physical space to make it operational again.
Equipment Replacement: Essential equipment for manufacturing magic tricks and custom packaging was lost in the fire. Your donations will help them replace the tools so they can resume production.
Support for Employees: With nearly zero income from any of their businesses, your support will help them provide for their employees during this challenging time.
Sustaining Operations: Funds will also be allocated to cover immediate expenses and help them sustain operations as they work towards full recovery.
They aim to raise $70,000 to cover these urgent needs and kickstart their journey towards rebuilding Magic Shop San Diego. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring them closer to restoring their business and their livelihoods.
I know the Kellogg’s will be deeply grateful for any support you can provide during this difficult time. Your donation, your share, your words of encouragement—all of it makes a difference.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. Together, we can bring the magic back to Magic Shop San Diego.
Regards,
Gregory Wilson
