This sweet young boy, Brownie, was placed on the risk list at ACC, given just one day to find a placement due to severe upper respiratory infection, extreme anorexia, and multiple painful sores in his mouth. To make matters worse, he was adopted—only to be brought back when his condition worsened.

Can you imagine how devastating that must have been for him? Alone, sick, and without anyone to fight for his life. When we saw him, it broke our hearts. Brownie is skin and bones, dangerously malnourished, and desperately clinging to life thought he’s been refusing to eat for days. We couldn’t let him die without a chance to heal.
