Help Us Save Our Beloved Flash – A Rescue Dog Who Needs Us

Dear Friends, Family, and Animal Lovers,

I’m reaching out in hopes of getting support for our dear dog, Flash, who has been with us since 2013. Flash is more than just a dog; he’s family—our son, our heart, and our constant source of love and joy. We rescued him at just one year old, and since that day, he has filled our home with laughter, love, and even a few happy food-related antics.

Flash has always been the kind of dog that lights up the room. He’s goofy, loving, full of life, and completely devoted to his family. At 12 years old, he’s still energized and has an unwavering love for food—he sings and barks with excitement every time we make his fresh meals. We cook for him every night—chicken, steak—he’s a true foodie.

Unfortunately, Flash has fallen very ill. On March 28, 2025, he woke up in distress—unable to eat, drink, or walk, and experiencing uncontrollable eye movements. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where they diagnosed him with a severe health issue affecting his liver. The doctors believe there are lumps on his liver and spleen, and we are awaiting further test results to determine the cause. We are praying it is not cancer, but we need to do more testing to understand what’s happening and give him the best chance at recovery.

The medical costs have been overwhelming. The emergency visit alone, which included tests, medications, and an overnight stay in the ICU, cost estimated $7,900. Flash still needs another test, which will cost approximately $1,400, and we are anxiously hoping he doesn’t need more ICU care. we are doing everything I can to ensure Flash gets the care he needs. We are now in a considerable amount of credit card debt -- and are looking towards the many expenses for his on-going liver care.

Flash has always been there for us with unconditional love and joy. Now, we need to be there for him. I’m humbly asking for your support to help cover his medical expenses so that he can get the treatment he deserves and come back home where he belongs. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference and bring us one step closer to getting Flash back on his paws.
